How the guided workout app runs a session
A client opens today's lesson, taps start and the player takes over. The current exercise shows its countdown or rep target, the tempo and the heart rate zone if you set one. When the timer ends, the rest timer starts and the next move is already on screen, so the client stays in the flow.
If the program includes alternatives for restrictions, the client swaps the exercise inside the session and keeps going. Everything the player shows comes from the exercise library, so a change in the builder updates every session that uses that exercise.
Interval timer in the app: circuits, intervals and rounds
Timed formats run inside the player itself.
- Per exercise countdown with the work time you set.
- Rest timer between exercises and between rounds.
- Circuits that cycle through a list of exercises for a set number of rounds.
- Intervals with work and rest phases.
- Next move preview, so the client is in position before the rest ends.
- Tempo and heart rate zones shown on the exercise when you define them.
Follow along workout video platform
For video led sessions, switch a lesson to follow along mode. The client watches your video while the session structure runs alongside it. Videos come from FitCoUp private storage, where access follows entitlement, or from links on YouTube, Vimeo or Bunny.
If a client closes the app halfway, the session resumes where they stopped.
After the session: check-in, streaks and milestones
The player closes each session with a short loop that builds the habit.
- Mood and pain check-in, stored only with the client's consent, which they can withdraw.
- Completion celebration and the session added to the calendar.
- Streaks that follow the program cadence, with two freezes a month to protect them.
- Milestones at 1, 7, 14, 21, 50 and 100 sessions, with badges and rewards.
- Measurements such as fold distance or weight, a goal forecast and progress photos with side by side comparison.
What the player feeds back to you
Every completed session updates the student's profile in your CRM: progress, measurements and streak. On Pro and above, analytics shows completion and lesson drop-off, so you see which session loses people and fix it in the builder.
The retention engine listens to the player too. If a trial student has not done the first session by day 1, a nudge goes out. After three sessions in week one, a habit confirmation follows. The day before a streak breaks, the student gets a warning. These are among the 16 rules and 64 templates that are on from day one and editable.
