Pricing and fees: Circle vs FitCoUp
As of October 2026, according to the Schoolmaker breakdown updated on 10 September 2026, Circle lists Professional at $129 per month ($89 on annual billing) with a 2% transaction fee, Business at $219 ($199) with 1%, Enterprise at $499 ($419) with 0.5%, and Plus Branded App at custom pricing with 0.5%, which is the plan with your own iOS and Android apps. All plans have a 14 day trial and unlimited members; there is no free plan. Check the Circle pricing page for the current numbers.
FitCoUp plans in EUR per month: Basic 99 for 300 students, Pro 499 for 3,000, Enterprise 899 for 15,000, Agency 1,499 for unlimited, two months free on annual billing, 0% platform fee, Stripe processing only, 14 day trial without a card. The branded PWA is in every plan and native store apps come with Enterprise and Agency; community with topics and moderation is part of Pro and above.
What members get
On Circle a member gets spaces with posts, events, courses and live rooms, in the Circle app or your branded app on the Plus plan. On FitCoUp a member installs your branded PWA and follows a program with the community next to it.
- Programs as day by day paths with a guided player: timers, rest, intervals, alternatives, follow along mode.
- Streaks with two freezes a month, milestones with badges, measurements and progress photos with consent.
- Community topics per program (results, questions, wins), polls, likes, comments, coach badges, moderation with reasons.
- A reminder before every charge, cancellation in two taps, pause instead of losing progress.
Selling and retention
Circle sells paywalled spaces and courses from its checkout with coupons and trials. FitCoUp sells through a quiz funnel that maps answers to a program and an offer, prices one program as monthly to lifetime, and runs funnels after the sale: a one-click offer on the thank you page, checkout recovery emails, upsell funnels to the membership and the next level. The retention engine runs 16 rules and 64 templates from day one; failed payments are retried on day 1, 2 and 3 with a one tap card update; client economics shows LTV per product and cohort, CAC per channel and revenue from each mechanic.
Who should stay on Circle
Circle is the better choice when:
- The community is the product and programs are secondary or absent.
- You run many live rooms and events and need them inside the community platform.
- You need unlimited members on the entry plan and a general purpose course tool.
- You do not need a workout player, streaks, a quiz funnel or failed payment recovery.
Moving from Circle to FitCoUp
Export members from Circle and import a CSV into FitCoUp with email, name, program and end date. Paid memberships restart in your checkout, since billing does not move; a coupon or a trial eases the switch. Rebuild programs from a template, set up community topics per program on Pro and above, and link or upload videos. A school can be live the same day; a full catalog takes about a week. Many creators run both during the transition and link between them.
