How a group class business is structured online
The membership is the core: a class library organized by length, level and style, with a weekly schedule that opens new classes by date, a monthly price with a trial for new members and an annual plan for regulars. A series, for example 6 weeks of beginner classes, runs as a challenge with a fixed start date and a limited number of places, which gives the group feeling that a library alone lacks. A one-time starter collection of 10 classes is the entry product for cold traffic. One product can carry monthly, 3 month, 6 month and annual prices at once.
- Membership. library plus weekly schedule, monthly and annual, trial for new members only, pause for holidays.
- Series. fixed start date, date based access, quantity limit, community topic per cohort (Pro).
- Starter collection. one-time, lifetime access, entry product for the upsell funnel.
- Coupons and order bumps for a launch or a January campaign on Pro and above.
Recorded classes, live classes and what each plan supports
Recorded classes are the library: upload to private storage with access by entitlement, or link from YouTube, Vimeo or Bunny. In follow along mode the class video plays with interval timers on top, the student resumes where they stopped and alternatives cover a move that does not suit them. Live sessions are built in on Enterprise and Agency. On Basic and Pro the honest setup is a lesson that opens on the class date with the link to your live call and a note of the time, and the recording added to the same lesson afterwards, so members who missed it still get the class.
From a reel to the first class
The quiz asks about the goal, the level, the preferred class length, the days available and any limitations, then recommends a membership or the beginner series with the next start date. Email capture before or after the result carries a separate marketing consent. UTM capture shows which post brought members, and drop-off per question shows what to shorten. The result page reveals a plan in the person's own words and leads to one offer.
The group feeling without a group chat
Community topics per program on Pro and above replace the chat that nobody can moderate: results, questions and wins, polls for the next schedule, likes and comments, coach and team badges and moderation with reasons. Streaks follow the class cadence with two freezes a month, milestones at 1, 7, 14, 21, 50 and 100 classes carry badges, and the retention rules message a member who has not shown up for 3, 7 and 14 days with a pause offer instead of a silent cancellation later.
Billing, team and numbers
Members get an email and a push with the amount and the date before every renewal, can pause instead of cancel, and failed payments are retried on day 1, 2 and 3 with a one tap card update. Team roles let a co-instructor publish classes and a support person answer tickets without seeing full emails. Analytics show attendance as completion per class, trial conversion and churn, and client economics shows LTV per cohort and what each mechanic earned. Export members and sales at any time.
